Welcome Letter

July 19, 2017

Dear ECC Families,

I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the new Principal of the Early Childhood Center at Forest Glen. For those of you who do not know me, I have been the Director of Special Services in Bloomfield for the last 5 years. It was an honor to be part of the team that brought about the creation of the Early Childhood Center 3 years ago. I am extremely proud to be appointed its first Principal.

My philosophy of education has always been; “all children will succeed if we as the educators reach the children at their individual level”. I am proud to lead the extraordinary staff of the Early Childhood Center in planting the seeds of knowledge in your children. I will guide them in nurturing your children to ensure their love of learning grows daily. We will encourage their curiosity and help create lifelong learners.

Family means the world to me and a school should be an extensions of your family.
So I’d like you to know something about me as part of this extended family. I have been in education for over 25 years, beginning as a paraprofessional, then teaching and also a supervisor. I have the unique ability as the Principal to say I am able to understand the parent perspective having raised my own children; as well as the perspective of a para, teacher and Administrator. I live with my husband in Belleville and we have 6 children, spouses and 10 grandchildren. Our greatest joy is spending with our grandchildren.

I look forward to working with of you all in creating a collaborative home/school relationship.

Sincerely,

Linda Colucci, M.Ed.
Principal
