Kiss and Go Procedure (Arrival/Dismissal)

Kiss and Go Procedures (Arrival/Dismissal)

Dear Parents,

As with any building, drop off/arrival time presents a set of challenges to parents and teachers alike.

To ensure the safety of all, please review the directions below, as well as the attached schematic, outlining Forest Glen’s “Kiss and Go “procedures.

Parent Drop Off:

“Kiss and Go”- Cars will line up on Davey Street- pulling all the way to the right (see schematic) and wait for Para professionals to be at the curb (8:55am/12:25 pm).  Parents will then proceed to drop off point in front of the building, where paras will assist children in exiting the car and into the building.  Parents must remain in their cars at all times.

To facilitate the process, when possible, please place car seats/booster seats on the right side of your vehicle.

Parent Pick up:

Non bus students will be dismissed via the front entrance (11:30am and 3:00pm).   There is no parking in front of the school.  Parents must park above the circle on Davey Street and walk down to the front doors.  We will also implement a reverse drop and go.  Please line up as in the morning and your child will be brought to your car.

This year there will be bimonthly parent/student classroom visitation from 9:00-9:15 am and 12:30-12:45 pm on select Thursday’s and Friday’s (please see website calendar for dates).  If you will be visiting your child’s classroom you must adhere to street parking signs and park above the circle on Davey Street.

Thank you so much for your cooperation.  With everyone’s help we can ensure the safety of all, as well as facilitate a successful beginning to each school day!

Best regards,

Linda Colucci, M.Ed.
